I believe that SME businesses are critical to the economic and social fabric of our communities. More than 50% of working people are employed by SME businesses in the UK, jobs that give people purpose and pride. Businesses that give people the means to get on in life deserve investment to continue to operate for the benefit of their local communities, which is why I look for opportunities to invest in people, entrepreneurs, and local businesses.
MANAGE
I believe that there is huge potential to increase productivity and value in SME business through the application of continuous improvement and best-in-class business practices that have been developed by larger businesses. Sharing this knowledge and putting it into practice in simple practical ways can put SME businesses on a path of sustainable success.
GROW
I believe in keeping focused on the customer; delivering the products and services the customer wants and identifying how to meet their needs. Combined with the right investment and management, my approach of being responsive to customer requirements sets up successful growth prospects.
